Cargill Ferrous International beginnings date back to 1832, when C. Tennant, Sons and Company was established as a merchandiser of various commodities. In 1972, Cargill Inc. acquired C. Tennant, Sons and Co. as a wholly owned subsidiary. In 1986, the subsidiary became a department of Cargill Inc. and was renamed Cargill Ferrous International to signify its focus on strictly steel related products.
Cargill Ferrous International (CFI) today is a leading international Trader and Distributor of ferrous and steel products, involved in the trading, distribution and processing of Steel Mill consumables and products including Iron Ore, Pig Iron, Steel Scrap, Steel Long Products and Steel Flat Products serving customers across the globe.
CFI also operates eight Steel-Processing service centers across the US, these services centers process and sell flat-rolled steel for further distribution and a wide variety of manufacturing applications.
CFI has offices strategically located across the globe that link high quality steel mills with consumption markets around the world.
